Step 1:  Download

Click on the link below to download the application.

Once downloaded, click on 80legs.jar to run the App.

Troubleshooting notes:

1. All platforms are supported, but Java 1.6 or above is required to run this application.  You can download the latest version of Java from here.
2. Simply double-clicking the 80legs.jar file should run the app.  If this doesn't work and you do have Java installed, then mostly likely files with extension ".jar" on your system are associated with an archiving program (such as WinZip).  In this case, you can run the app by right-clicking it and selecting "Open With" > "Java(TM) Platform binary" from the menu.

Step 2:  Enter your Security Token

The first screen in the app will prompt you for a token.  The token is available at the top of the Results tab inside a yellow highlighted text area, after the sentence that links to this 80legs Download App.  To get to the Results tab, simply view the Dashboard of any crawl in your account and view further details until you get to the Results.  Copy and paste it into the Token field and click "Submit".

Step 3:  Select Download Location

Underneath the large table on the main app page, click on the "Change Location" button to select a directory to download your result files to.  The app should now be ready to go!  Don't forget to see the "How to..." sections below for additional usage instructions. 

How to Manually Download Result Files

To manually download a single result file:

1. Select the desired Crawl Job and Crawl Job Run.  This will populate the large table on the main App page with Run Result files that are available for download.
2. Ensure that your desired Download Location and Result Format are selected underneath the large table.
3. Click the blue underlined "Download" or "Re-Download" link for the Result file you wish to download

To manually download all result files for a particular Crawl Job Run:

1. Select the desired Crawl Job and Crawl Job Run.  This will populate the large table on the main App page with Run Result files that are available for download.
2. Ensure that your desired Download Location and Result Format are selected underneath the large table.
3. If you only want to download files that you have not downloaded before, check the "Only download NEW files" box.  Otherwise, uncheck this box.
4. Click the "Download All Files Above" button

NOTE:  You cannot do batch manual file downloads when Automatic Downloads are enabled.

How to Set up Automatic Downloads

You can configure the 80legs Downloader App to automatically download all new result files for you (NOTE: the App will only download files when it is running).  To set up auto downloads:

1. In the Download App, click on the "File" menu > "Automatic Download Settings" option.
2. The top portion of this window is called  "Default 80app Output Format Settings."  Select each 80app (if there are any), and ensure that your desired Output Format is selected for each one.  If you want to change the Output Format for an 80app, pick your desired Format, and then click the "Set as Default" button.
3. Use the lower portion of this window to specify your Automatic Download Settings.  You can automatically download all new Analysis files (Recommended), all new Crawled files, or both types of files.  After making your selection, click the "Save Automatic Download Settings" button.
